While editing the manuscripts various defects are being come across from grammatical mistakes till heavy style and excessive use of alien or vernacular words and expressions. Some geographers tend to terminological word creation, littering the scientific language and giveng the scientese tone to works. The first-string geographers of the past paid attention to careful attitude to Russian language and need of exposition's simplicity and clearance. Each author has the capability to make the language of his work more expressive keeping the peculiarities of own style - using the wealth of Russian language (including the folk geographic terms), certain methods of fiction and huge experience of geographic classics.
