Attention is attracted to the state of theory-methodological basis of humanitarian geography, to search for forms that reflect regular and essential connections in this field of scientific knowledge. The social form of the latter is distinguished as limiting factor of its axiomatization. The conclusion is made that, despite all the disorder of methodological «luggage» and absence of convincing verification of many theoretical constructions, the process of lawmaking and search of synthesizing principles of humanitarian geography is gradually gathering its momentum.
